Mr Marc Moura, President & Owner of ALMA FRC the French shoe care giant and market leader in the leather care industry, having saw the potential of Asia Pacific and what Mr Raymond Tan was doing, decided to align Raymond’s efforts with his own to dominate the Asia Pacific market. ALMA F.R.C is also the owner of the world famous SAPHIR and MEDAILLE D’OR brands preferred by shoe aficionados worldwide, among other household names like TARRAGO, DASCO in the industry.
In 2019, ALMA F.R.C group, decided to acquire and convert Hackson & Sons Ltd into the group’s regional HQ for Asia Pacific. However, the Merger & Acquisition was scuppered by the COVID pandemic and delayed till end of 2021 when a subsidiary of the group, Dunkelman and Son (D&S) completed the acquisition.
Hackson & Sons Ltd, the company responsible for the revival of the shoe care brand WREN’S, was helmed by Mr Raymond Tan who has been in this industry for the last 11 years. Raymond’s dedication and advocation of the industry in the Asia Pacific region has seen the demand of shoe care and repair grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade.
Currently, WREN’S is the oldest shoe polish brand, and the only brand to exist through three centuries. 2024 marks her 135th anniversary. Today, Dunkelman Singapore (DunkS) have expanded to become the most trusted shoe care and shoe repair materials supplier in Singapore supplying to the rest of Asia Pacific based on the mantra of providing retailers and consumers alike with quality products and good service.
